About the field guide

A small guide to a confusing name.

Say Cheese Field Guide separates five games that happen to share a phrase. It is independent, source-led, and intentionally narrow: identify the game first, then send you to the right source page.

01

How the versions were identified

Each family was checked against its original store, platform, developer, or product page. Titles, platform labels, prices, player counts, release dates, and game descriptions come from those pages. Where two listings describe the same game, the shared mechanics are compared on the page; where a formal relationship is not stated, the guide says so.

A visible image is used to help recognize a version. It is not treated as proof of a route, puzzle solution, or current game state. Dynamic Roblox activity counts are a single snapshot, labeled with the date.

02

What this launch covers

The site now includes five field guides alongside the version comparison: a Roblox endings guide, a first-run Roblox walkthrough, the one-player logic puzzle rules, an online-game selector, and the Gamewright Quick Pics dice rules.

The Roblox guides separate what the public recordings show from what the official page actually states. Current public runs show 14 endings, including Off Air and Star, while the official Roblox page does not publish a total. Several recorded routes disagree on a count or target, so the page keeps the alternatives beside the affected ending instead of calling one version official.

The Steam/Xbox 40-level mouse maze is compared on the homepage. The separate Nintendo Switch listing is handled in the online version selector, where the guide keeps its relationship to the Steam release unconfirmed. The supplied material did not include level-by-level solutions for either listing, so this site does not publish a fake complete walkthrough for it.

Current limits

  • Prices are US store prices checked 2 November 2026; regional prices and sales change.
  • The Gamewright rules come from the official 2009 rules PDF; the physical game itself is out of print, so components may be incomplete in second-hand copies.
  • Project Genius and Eureka describe the same tabletop mechanic; their exact edition relationship is not officially stated.
  • The Playgama game is new and has a small rating sample, so it is not described as popular.
  • The Roblox ending count comes from recorded public runs, not an official ending list. Off Air and Star also carried an Early Access purchase record whose current availability is unresolved.
  • No level-by-level solutions are published for the Steam/Xbox or Switch maze because the supplied evidence does not contain them.
  • Analytics uses Google Analytics 4 and PVUV.ai for aggregate traffic and performance reporting. The privacy and analytics page explains the defaults, storage, and separate opt-out controls.
