Say Cheese Online Game: Which One Did You Mean?

The same name covers a 3D family photo puzzle, a Roblox story, a hidden-object game, a visual novel, and a paid mouse maze. Pick the experience by platform and play style before following the wrong guide.

Quick answer

There is no single Say Cheese online game. The Playgama entry is the free 3D family-photo puzzle by Oppoz; Roblox is the camera-driven story with endings; Coolmath is a hidden-object search; itch.io is a short visual novel; and Afil Games sells a separate 40-level mouse maze.

All four browser entries are free to open, but they need different platforms and offer different tasks. The Afil maze is a paid console/PC game, and the Gamewright dice and Project Genius puzzle are physical products.

Playgama: the free family-photo puzzle

The Playgama game is a free 3D arranging puzzle by Oppoz. It runs on desktop, Android and iOS. You arrange a fidgety family for a photograph against a timer, then try to earn three-star prints. The Playgama page lists it as published on 5 October 2026 and modified on 29 October 2026. Play Say Cheese on Playgama ↗

  1. Move each relative onto a glowing spot before the timer expires. Use mouse drag or a finger drag.
  2. Place tall people in the back row, the couple on the gold stars, and the children in front.
  3. Keep watching the faces. If anyone looks away or blinks, click or tap them to bring their attention back.
  4. In the final seconds, press Space or the Say Cheese! button so everyone smiles for the shot.
  5. Check the result: every relative needs to be in frame, eyes open, and looking toward the camera for the best print.
  • The Daily family is a new family setup each day; the page also mentions renaming your family and collecting films and frames in the photo studio.
  • Three-star prints are the stated goal, but the page does not publish a complete per-family solution table. Use the visible framing and blink checks rather than memorising one family.
  • The page classifies the game as 1 Player, Puzzle, 3D, Funny, Cozy, Logic and Time Management. It is not the Roblox story.

Roblox: the camera story with endings

The Roblox game is Say Cheese! [STORY] by Mechanical Boy LLC, place ID 100453542816833. You play a journalist hired by Big Media; photographs become television headlines and the park reacts. It is free to enter but is not an ordinary browser game: it runs through Roblox and needs a Roblox account.

If this is the game you meant, start with the first-run walkthrough for the viewfinder and the opening route, then use the 14-ending guide for the later branches.

04

Coolmath: find the imposters before the battery dies

Coolmath’s Say Cheese is a free hidden-object game. The crowd contains imposters, and each level asks you to find people matching a hair style, hand item, hat, or all three. The battery drains as you search. A correct imposter gives some charge back; a wrong click costs charge. Open the Coolmath game page ↗

Official Coolmath game image showing the clue panel and crowd. It identifies the hidden-object version; it is not a complete level solution.
  1. Read the clue panel in the upper-left: hair, hand item, hat, or ALL of the criteria.
  2. Use the arrow keys or WASD to move the camera across the crowd.
  3. Press E to zoom in or Q to zoom out when a face needs a closer look.
  4. Click an imposter to reveal whether the match is correct. A correct find restores some battery; a wrong person removes charge.
  5. Keep an eye on the battery bar in the lower-left. The run ends when the battery is depleted.

The page lists a 31 March 2025 release and a 14 August 2026 update. Those are platform dates, not a guarantee that every level or mobile layout is unchanged.

05

itch.io: a short visual novel about smiling for the camera

The itch.io game SAY CHEESE! by Saman Bobo is a free HTML5 visual novel. It follows a Czech family on a holiday in Croatia. When a relative raises a camera and says “say cheese,” you use a button-mashing mechanic to shape the character’s mouth into a smile, even when the moment is awkward. The page lists it as released, rated by two users, and available as an HTML5 run or a downloadable festival build.

It is a narrative short, not a puzzle with levels or endings in the Roblox sense. Open SAY CHEESE! on itch.io ↗

06

Afil Games: the paid 40-level mouse maze

Afil Games publishes a different Say Cheese! as a 40-level mouse maze. The Nintendo page lists a 23 October 2024 release, one player, 98 MB, TV/tabletop/handheld modes, and English, Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese support. It describes 40 handcrafted levels with traps, blocks, trophies and a cheese goal. Open the Nintendo page ↗

The Switch price is not in the captured body copy, so this page does not invent one. The Steam listing also describes a 40-level mouse maze, but the supplied evidence does not confirm that the Steam and Switch products are the same build or publisher relationship. Treat the Steam listing as another paid store page, not a proven cross-platform version.

07

The two physical Say Cheese games

The Gamewright Quick Pics dice game is a physical 2–4 player matching game from 2009 and is out of print. The Project Genius/Eureka logic puzzle is a one-player, 50-challenge rolling puzzle. Neither has an official browser version in the material checked here.

Account, phone and price checks before you start

  • Roblox: free experience, but requires a Roblox account and supported device/client.
  • Playgama: free on desktop, Android and iOS according to the platform page. No purchase is required.
  • Coolmath: free page; a login can save XP, but the page does not say a login is required to start. Desktop is the safer supported reading; phone play is unresolved.
  • itch.io: free HTML5 run or downloadable festival build; no account is required to press Run on the page, subject to itch.io’s normal page behavior.
  • Afil: paid console/PC product. Check the current Nintendo or Steam checkout for price and platform availability; this page does not capture the Switch price.
Q

Common questions

01Is Say Cheese one online game?

No. The name covers several unrelated games. This page separates the free Playgama family-photo puzzle, the Roblox camera story, the Coolmath hidden-object game, the itch.io visual novel, and the paid Afil maze.

02Which one is the 3D family-photo game?

The free game by Oppoz on Playgama. You drag relatives onto glowing spots, keep them from blinking or looking away, and press Space or the Say Cheese! button to take the photo.

03Which Say Cheese online games are free?

Playgama, Roblox, Coolmath and itch.io are free to open. Roblox still needs an account. The Afil Games maze is a paid console/PC game, and the Gamewright and Project Genius products are physical tabletop games.

04Does the Coolmath Say Cheese game work on a phone?

The page contradicts itself: one banner says it is only playable on computers, while its platform metadata lists Browser and Mobile. Treat desktop browser play as supported and phone play as unconfirmed until the page or a real device gives a clear answer.

05Is the Switch maze the same game as the Steam listing?

Not confirmed. Both list a 40-level mouse maze, but the supplied pages do not establish that the two products are the same build or have the same publisher relationship. Use the platform you actually bought.

06Is the Roblox Say Cheese game free?

Yes, the Roblox experience is free. It is not a browser game you can open without Roblox; you play it through the official Roblox place with your account.
